Cisco Networking Academy Courses

Cisco Networking Academy helps students develop valuable information and communication technology to increase access to opportunities for career advancement, education, and economic participation in communities around the world. Networking Academy courses are designed to prepare students for continuing education, professional career opportunities and industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CompTIA A+

The City of Sunderland College, in partnership with Cisco System Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, is able to provide a comprehensive e-learning programme that delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications. Courses include CCNA, CCNP, Fundamentals of Security (Routers, Switches, ASAs), Fundamentals of Wireless LANs, IP Telephone (Call Manager Express), CompTIA A+, IT Essentials II: Network Operating Systems, Fundamentals of JAVA programming, and Panduit Network Infrastructure Essentials

The Networking Academy program builds accountability into the learning process through online assessments and personalized feedback. This enables students and instructors to clearly understand students' strengths and areas for growth. In this focused learning environment, education can be tailored to meet student capabilities through enhanced curricula and targeted continuing education events.

Graduates who have successfully completed one or more courses of the Academy curriculum and are 18 years of age or older will be able to join the Academy alumni and participate in a global community that offers resources and tools for career development.
